Welcome
Welcome to The Mutant Question! This is an X-Men original character RP, taking the Marvel universe we all know and love and populating it with a brand new cast of characters. You won’t find Cyclops or Magneto here, but you will find a host of interesting personalities – and hopefully create a few of your own.

General Rules
Out of Character Conduct
Our boards are only young, so for now, we only have one major rule of conduct: be respectful, and kind. If someone asks you to stop doing something, stop doing it; don’t make fun of anyone’s ideas, characters or mannerisms. If someone asks you for help with working on their RP style, look for positives as well as negatives.
Signature banner guidelines
Signatures cannot exceed 800x120 in size. Multiple images in a signature is allowed, but the total height/width of the signature cannot exceet 800x120. Animation is permitted, but should be kept subtle.

The Story
The year is 2020, and it’s a dangerous time to be different. Anti-mutant sentiment is rife - people tend to look the other way when bad things happen to mutants, whether that’s verbal abuse, unfair dismissal or police brutality.
However, there are no laws discriminating against mutantkind. Yet. With a sudden upswing in mutant discoveries, pressure is mounting on governments across the world to do something about the mutant question once and for all.
In the USA, amidst this mounting political tension, a group of mutants are brought together by a dead man. The renowned scientist and philanthropist Charles Xavier has passed away, and his will names strangers for which he has an incredible task: use his wealth and his ancestral home to make a haven for young mutants, a place where they can come to grips with their gifts in peace.
The Xavier Memorial School for Gifted Children is born, and with it, the X-Men.
