The room has cream walls, unadorned and likely to stay that way. There is one large sliding window opposite the door, which looks onto the gardens.
A king single bed with white linen is pushed against the right-hand wall, and a small side table sits between it and the window. The side table has a lamp, a plastic bottle of water and a small, dog-eared action novel on top, and a pair of sturdy-looking boots beneath.
Opposite the bed is a small desk, currently covered in a mess of papers which, if examined, are easily identifed as Nathan's immigration documents and other such sensitive material.
In the left-hand corner closest to the door is a large open wardrobe; sitting inside is a very large travelling backpack, now empty. Clothes are both hung and strewn within the wardrobe, and are leaking onto the floor; the mess makes the clothes look more numerous than actually counting would suggest.
