The room has cream walls, unadorned at the moment. There is one large window opposite the door, which looks onto the basketball court.
There is also a skylight in the roof. One can't help but notice that you might be able to push it open if you got onto the top bunk...
Two bunkbeds occupy this space, one on either side of the window. The lower bunks have bedside tables, the upper ones shelves. The beds and the space around them aren't particularly large, and three of the beds are white.
Sally's bed, the top left-hand bunk, has a bright orange-and-pink blanket thrown over the duvet, and a few mismatched pillows; her shelves are filled with romances, murder mysteries and political non-fiction.
There is a plain white rug in the centre of the wooden floor, and a shared wardrobe and desk on the right-hand side of the door. The pinboard above the desk is slowly being taken over by Sally's newspaper clippings, most documenting pro-mutant marches and statements made by politicians on both sides.
There is also a washstand, built into the wall, on the left side. All in all, the room is quite spacious, and certainly acts as a perfectly functional private space for the girls to relax in.
